The Investment Office manages over $600 billion in assets on behalf of more than 2 million members, making CalPERS the largest defined-benefit public pension in the nation. We invest in both domestic and international markets. Our goal is to manage the CalPERS investment portfolio in an efficient and sustainable manner to generate risk-adjusted returns to pay benefits now and into the future.
