The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Board of Administration consists of 13 members who are elected, appointed, or hold office ex officio for four-year terms. The decisions they make impact all active and retired members.

2026 State, School & Public Agency Election Overview

This year, CalPERS will hold three separate elections to fill seats on the CalPERS Board of Administration for representatives of state members, school members, and public agency members. Active members are eligible to participate in their respective member elections, starting on August 28, 2026.
