Board Elections
The California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Board of Administration consists of 13 members who are elected, appointed, or hold office ex officio for four-year terms. The decisions they make impact all active and retired members.
2025 Member-at-Large Results
David Miller and Troy Johnson were declared the election winners for the Member-at-Large seats on the CalPERS Board of Administration, with Miller being re-elected for his third term. Results were certified by the Secretary of State.
Position A Vote Count for Each Candidate
- Steve Mermell – received 34,319 votes, or 24.13%
- Dominick Bei – received 31,201 votes, or 21.94%
- David Miller – received 76,705 votes, or 53.93%
Position B Vote Count for Each Candidate
- Sam Hasan Akkad – received 21,293 votes, or 15.08%
- Troy Johnson – received 73,787 votes, or 52.25%
- Jose Luis Pacheco – received 46,128 votes, or 32.67%
The current term of the incumbents, David Miller and Jose Luis Pacheco, will expire on January 15, 2026. The term of office for the newly elected candidates will begin January 16, 2026, and end January 15, 2030.
