Some Benefit Checks Misprinted

Because of production troubles, the California State Controller’s Office misprinted June benefit checks for as many as 11,900 CalPERS retirees. Some retirees have reported that banks weren’t honoring the checks. Retirees who are unable to properly deposit their checks should contact CalPERS and we’ll work with the State Controller’s Office to reissue the check as soon as possible. Call us at (888) CalPERS (or 888-225-7377).
