Automation of Arrears Processing

Information pertaining to employer and member paid arrears will now be collected in myCalPERS to allow for automation and eliminate the MEM-1344 form. Employers will now be able to enter data directly into myCalPERS for CalPERS to review and make determinations. Auto-generated letters will be sent to the employer based on the determinations.

The following letters are now automated:

  • Notification of Arrears Determination - myCalPERS 2785
  • Employer Paid Arrears Letter - myCalPERS 2786
  • Arrears Cancellation Letter - myCalPERS 2787
  • Arrears – Employer Paid Letter – myCalPERS 1360
  • Member Paid Arrears Posted at No Cost – myCalPERS 2782
