Automated Arrears Determination for Late Enrollments |
When an employee qualifies for CalPERS membership, it is important you enroll them in a timely manner. Per Government Code 20283, when a late enrollment (90-days after eligibility date) is reported, the employer is liable for both the member and employer contributions due on the member's account, along with a $500 administrative cost. Recent updates were made to notify you timely and assist in this process including:

Dependent Verification Health Event Employer Report Improvements |
State and CSU employers can now identify whether a dependent deleted due to the Dependent Reverification is later verified. This Cognos report will have a Y/N indicator to identify if a deleted dependent is enrolled in health as of the date the report is ran. |

OPEB Data Extract Report for GASB 75 Reporting |
Health contracted employers can now generate the OPEB data extract for active and retired members through this report functionality to assist in the preparation of their OPEB valuations for Governmental Account Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 75 reporting. |
