Open CalPERS exams are listed below. If a classification isn't listed, then an exam isn't currently available. For some exams, testing is scheduled when an acceptable number of applications have been filed. Open state exams can be found at CalCareers.
Open exams are available to anyone who meets the minimum qualifications. Exam bulletins contain salary information, minimum qualifications, and application instructions.
The Limited Examination and Appointment Program (LEAP) is an optional pathway to California state civil service for people with disabilities. To qualify to take this Minimum Qualifications Assessment/Readiness Evaluation, you must first have LEAP certification issued by the Department of Rehabilitation (DOR).
