2025 Member-at-Large Certified Election Results for the CalPERS Board of Administration

Purpose

The purpose of this Circular Letter is to inform you of the 2025 Member-at-Large certified election results for the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS) Board of Administration.

In accordance with the provisions of the Public Employees’ Retirement Law, Government Code sections 20090(g)(1), 20095, and 20096, the Secretary of State’s Office certified that:

Mr. David Miller, incumbent for Position A and a senior environmental scientist specialist with the California Department of Toxic Substances Control and over 35 years of CalPERS-covered service, has been re-elected for a third term to the CalPERS Board by active and retired members.

Mr. Troy Johnson, candidate for Position B and a senior administrative assistant with the Sweetwater Union High School District and over 25 years of CalPERS-covered service, was elected for his first term to the CalPERS Board by active and retired members.

Miller and Johnson will serve four-year terms of office beginning January 16, 2026, until January 15, 2030.

Attached is the certification of the official election results for Position A and Position B from the Secretary of State.
