 Certificated Member Cognos Report

The new Certificated Member Cognos Report identifies school employees that are certificated members. To generate this report, users must have one of the following myCalPERS roles:

  • Business Partner Payroll
  • Business Partner Payroll RO
  • Business Partner Retirement Enrollment
  • Business Partner Retirement Enrollment RO

Note: The certificated member appointments must be identified as a certificated employee in myCalPERS to appear on the report

 Enhanced Business Rules

The Retirement Appointment Reconciliation (RAR) business rules have been streamlined to:

  • Consider member category when determining a payroll schedule for the employee
  • Change pay schedules when the previously selected schedule is terminated
  • Automatically reverse retired annuitant late payroll fees when the corresponding earned periods are automatically confirmed specific to the following:
    • Retroactive begin leave dates added without an end leave date will automatically confirm missing payroll for up to 6 months (from the begin leave date)
    • Retroactive begin leave dates added with an end leave date will automatically confirm missing payroll for the duration of the leave period

 Position Title Enhancements

The position search functionality has been updated on the myCalPERS Position List page. Employers will now be able to search for position titles by the following options:

  • Position Code
  • Position Name
  • Member Category
  • Status
  • Status as of (date)

Note: Search options may differ by agency category
The start and end dates are displayed in the Positions panel

 Enhancements to Monthly Employer Billing Roster, Cognos Report

Additional information is now available in the Monthly Employer Billing Roster Report:

  • Subscriber address information
    • Allows contracting agencies to contact subscribers regarding their health contribution or related health benefits
  • Death notification and date of death
    • Provides contracting agencies improved ability to identify which subscribers should be removed from their roster
