SACRAMENTO, Calif. – All voted ballots will be tabulated on Friday, October 4, for the retired member representative seat on the CalPERS Board of Administration.

Public viewing of the electronic tabulation process will take place at 9:00 a.m., at the Embassy Suites, Tower Bridge B Room, 100 Capitol Mall, Sacramento.

Henry Jones, the incumbent and retired chief financial officer for Los Angeles Unified School District, and Joseph "JJ" Jelincic, a retired investment officer for the California Public Employees' Retirement System, are the two candidates. The unofficial winner is expected to be announced later the same day. Election results are considered unofficial until formal certification by the California Secretary of State.

The 13-member CalPERS Board of Administration sets policy for retirement and health benefits on behalf of California public employers, and their active and retired employees. The board also oversees asset allocation of the pension fund's investments. Under the California Constitution, the CalPERS Board has exclusive authority to administer the CalPERS Fund.
