All career levels welcome at April 29 event

SACRAMENTO, CA - The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) today announced that its Information Technology Services Branch (ITSB) will host an IT Career Fair to inform attendees about technology-related job opportunities at CalPERS.

Information technology professionals, recent college graduates, and college students nearing graduation are invited to participate in the interactive and hands-on event. Attendees will have opportunities to learn about the state hiring process, take state eligibility exams, and complete and submit job applications.

"The IT Career Fair is an excellent opportunity for prospective applicants of all skill levels to see what CalPERS has to offer, interact with IT hiring managers, and network with other IT practitioners," said Doug Hoffner, deputy executive officer for Operations and Technology. "We are looking for dedicated IT professionals who want to work in a collaborative and rewarding job environment that services the CalPERS enterprise and our 1.8 million members."

CalPERS is looking to fill vacancies and build a pipeline of qualified talent across a range of IT disciplines. Session topics will include conversations with the chief information officer, life at CalPERS, and how to apply for jobs, as well as technology-specific subject areas such as desktop services and support, cybersecurity, and my|CalPERS.

The IT Career Fair will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the CalPERS Lincoln Plaza West Atrium at 400 Q Street in Sacramento. Registration is strongly encouraged to secure a spot in the sessions. Register now and obtain more information about the IT Career Fair.
