California CIO Academy Recognizes Four for Leadership, Service, Innovation

SACRAMENTO, CA - Four staff members of the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) Information Technology Services Branch were honored at the annual California CIO Academy for their demonstrated exceptional leadership, customer service, and public stewardship through leadership of a team, service to the organization, implementation of innovative solutions, and service to constituents.

Those honored at the event on February 25 were:

  • Ramiro Carrazco, section chief, Enterprise Service Management
  • Christie Nakatsuka, supervisor, Service Desk Management Unit
  • Tim Brown, manager, Application Development
  • Cindy Maloney, section chief, Server & Infrastructure Management

"We are very proud of this recognition for our staff and the efforts they have made on behalf of CalPERS' members," said Douglas Hoffner, Deputy Executive Officer. "Their recognition speaks to the innovative atmosphere we have achieved here at CalPERS."

The California CIO Academy supports the role of public sector Chief Information Officers throughout California with its work on important policy, management, and leadership issues surrounding the future of digital government.
