September 16-17 Events at Pacific Palms Resort
SACRAMENTO, CA - The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is hosting CalPERS Benefits Education Events (CBEEs) in the City of Industry during September to inform members in a four-county area about programs and benefits available to them. These events will take place at the Pacific Palms Resort on Friday, September 16, and Saturday, September 17, 2016.
There are nearly 283,000 active members in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties who can benefit from these events. Whether new to CalPERS, in mid-career, or close to retirement, the CalPERS CBEEs offer all CalPERS members a wealth of information about their retirement and health benefits, supplemental savings plans, long-term care coverage, and more. Representatives from CalPERS Regional Offices will be on hand to answer questions.
Open Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the CBEEs feature breakout sessions specific to both early through mid-career members, and those nearing retirement. Topics to be covered include CalPERS retirement benefits, CalPERS health benefits, and deferred compensation. The deferred compensation session is sponsored by the California Department of Human Resources' Savings Plus program. In addition, sessions on my|CalPERS and Social Security will be offered.
The next CBEEs will be held January 27-28, 2017, at the Sheraton Hotel in Carlsbad, for CalPERS members living in Imperial, Orange, Riverside, and San Diego counties.
