SACRAMENTO, CA - The California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS) is hosting a CalPERS Benefits Education Event (CBEE) in Pasadena during June to inform members in a four-county area about programs and benefits available to them. This event will take place at the Hilton Pasadena Hotel on Friday, June 5 and Saturday, June 6, 2015.
There are over 286,000 active members in Los Angeles, Orange, Santa Barbara, and Ventura counties who can benefit from this event. Whether new to CalPERS, in mid-career or close to retirement, the CalPERS Benefits Education Event offers all CalPERS members a wealth of information about their retirement and health benefits, supplemental savings plans, long-term care coverage, and more. Representatives from CalPERS Regional Offices will be on hand to answer questions.
A second CBEE will take place the following week on June 12-13 in Redwood City at the Sofitel San Francisco Bay Hotel. This event offers the same program of benefits information to 229,000 active members in Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, and Sonoma counties.
Open both Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., the events feature breakout sessions specific to both early through mid-career members and those nearing retirement.
