Enhance Election to Receive CalPERS Credit for CalSTRS Covered Position |
When employers select the following appointment criteria for employees electing CalPERS credit for CalSTRS covered positions,
these new mandatory fields display:
Note:These types of positions typically do not mandatorily qualify for CalSTRS membership on the date of hire. When a Retirement System Election (ES 372) is completed, a determination letter is sent to the participant and employer outlining the reason as determined by CalPERS. |

New Contribution Process for CEPPT and CERBT Programs |
The California Employers’ Pension Prefunding Trust (CEPPT) and California Employers’ Retiree Benefit Trust (CERBT) programs have been added to the myCalPERS system. The contractual agreements with the State of California, public agencies, and schools are now displayed on the Agreements page of myCalPERS. Effective March 1, 2021, the initiation of contributions to the CEPPT and CERBT will be processed through myCalPERS. |
