Payment Schedule Changes for Service Credit Purchase

This system enhancement is a continuation of existing functionality to monitor the accuracy of a member's payment schedule and update when necessary. This includes monitoring accounts where the service credit purchase (SCP) payment has not been reported on time.

  1. Members and employers will now receive a letter when an SCP payroll deduction has not been reported 60 days from its due date, or if the SCP deduction is on a payroll file that received a payroll reporting error.
  2. myCalPERS will send two delinquency notices 31 days apart from each other, and if no response is received after an additional 31 days, the system will then process an automatic payment schedule change.
