Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH)
DFEH protects Californians from employment, housing and public accommodation discrimination. DFEH has jurisdiction over both private and public entities operating within the State of California, including corporate entities, private sector contracts granted by the State, and all State departments and local governments. The Department assists individuals with illegal discrimination issues not only in employment but also in housing, public accommodations (e.g., restaurants, retail stores), as well as acts of hate violence.

Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC)
EEOC is responsible for enforcing federal laws that make it illegal to discriminate against a job applicant or an employee because of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability, or genetic information. It also is illegal to discriminate against an individual because the person complained about discrimination, filed a charge of discrimination, or participated in an employment discrimination investigation or lawsuit. The laws apply to all types of work situations, including hiring, firing, promotions, harassment, training, wages, and benefits.

State Personnel Board (SPB)
SPB administers the civil service system and ensures that State employment is based on merit and is free of political patronage. The State of California offers careers in almost every occupation with excellent pay and benefits. Job opportunities are available on a full-time, part-time, and seasonal basis.

CalPERS Customer Service & Outreach Division (CSOD)
CSOD is the first point of contact for CalPERS active and retired members. The division provides member and employer education and assistance. The Customer Contact Center provides help with all CalPERS business, including ordering retirement estimates, providing member statements, and responding to emails and written correspondence.
