SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The California Public Employees' Retirement System is hosting a two-day CalPERS Benefits Education Event (CBEE) in Riverside in February to educate members about retirement and health benefits available to them.

Whether a member is new to CalPERS, in mid-career, or close to retirement CBEEs offer a wealth of information about retirement and health benefits, supplemental savings plans, and more. Representatives from CalPERS Regional Offices will be on hand to answer questions.

This free event takes place at the Riverside Convention Center, 3637 5th St., Riverside, CA 92501 on Friday, February 2 and Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The same educational opportunities are offered each day to provide attendees flexibility in determining when to attend.

There are more than 270,000 active members in Imperial, Inyo, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego counties who can benefit from attending.

Experts from CalPERS and our partnering organizations will be available to answer members' questions. The event features classes specific to both early through mid-career members, and those nearing retirement. Topics to be covered include CalPERS retirement benefits, CalPERS health benefits, and deferred compensation. In addition, sessions on myCalPERS & Your Retirement Options, and Social Security will be offered.

Members can register for this event through the CalPERS Benefits Education Events In-Person Event Details page. Members are encouraged to pre-register for their preferred event date to expedite registration check-in, but pre-registration isn't required, and walk-ins are welcome.
