CalPERS On-Line & my|CalPERS Member Self Service Browser Requirements
Our supported browsers are the most recent versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer (PC), Apple Safari (Mac), Mozilla Firefox (Mac and PC), and Google Chrome (Mac and PC).
my|CalPERS Business Partners Self Service Browser Requirements
Our supported browser is Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0.

If you are using an older browser version and would like to upgrade, select one of the options below. Each of these websites provides the instructions for downloading.
Pop-Up Windows
Some of our online services use "pop-up" windows to provide you the information you’ll need to complete your transaction. If you have third party pop-up blocker software installed on your computer, or have your Web browser set to block pop-ups, you’ll need to add our site to your list of allowed pop-up sites.
Browser Settings Required
You must also have "cookies" and "JavaScript" enabled in your browser to use our online services. These features are usually on by default but can be modified in your browser’s security and privacy settings.
CalPERS Education Center
Online Class Requirements
Adobe Flash Player is required to view online classes in my|CalPERS and the CalPERS Education Center. If you do not have Adobe Flash Player installed, you can download the most recent version free from Adobe. Using an older version of Adobe Flash Player may cause some of the online class features and services to operate incorrectly.
my|CalPERS and the CalPERS Education Center use pop-up windows to display online class materials. If you have third party pop-up blocker software installed on your computer, or have your Web browser set to block pop-ups, you’ll need to add our site to your list of allowed pop-up sites.
Adding CalPERS On-Line as a Trusted Site
If you have Internet Explorer and you’re having trouble accessing classes in our CalPERS Education Center, follow these steps to add www.calpers.ca.gov to your browser's list of trusted sites:

Go to www.calpers.ca.gov.

Select the Tools menu at the top of your browser. (Note: If the menu does not display in your browser, select the Alt key and the T key at the same time on your keyboard.)

Select Internet Options.

Select the Security tab.

Select the Trusted Sites icon.

Next, select Sites.

Make sure Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone is un-checked.

The CalPERS On-Line website (http://www.calpers.ca.gov) should automatically display in the Add this website to the zone field. Otherwise, type the full Web address in the field.

Select Add.

Select Close to close the Trusted Sites pop-up window.

Select OK to close the Internet Options pop-up window.
Viewing Multimedia Files

Viewing PDF Files
- Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view documents that are stored in the Portable Document Format (PDF). If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer, you can download it free from Adobe's website.
