Member-At-Large Board ElectionThe CalPERS Board of Administration consists of 13 members - six elected "member" representatives, three appointed representatives, and four "ex officio" representatives.
During 2009, an election was held for the two Member-At-Large representatives to the Board. The successful candidates, Mr. Kurato Shimada and Mr. Joseph “JJ” Jelincic, will serve four-year terms and represent active and retired members in all aspects of CalPERS business – including benefit and membership issues, and oversight and investment of Fund assets. Their term of office will be January 16, 2010 – January 15, 2014.
